Students Fly High on Opportunities

[mwVimeo video_id=’316723168′ width=’620′ height=’349′] Students fly high on more opportunities at St Columban’s College, Caboolture.

This was recently demonstrated when SIMJET Training Systems brought their mobile Air Combat Centre to the college.

Students received hands on training on how to fly an F/A 18 combat mission.

College Principal, Michael Connolly outlined the benefits of having SIMJET attend because the college is in the Gateway to Industry Schools Program for Aerospace.

“It’s an exciting day for here, being an aerospace school,” Principal Connolly said in the video above.

“I’m very excited about St Columban’s being an aerospace school.

“Many, many jobs, many thousands of jobs can be offered in the air industry, and it’s the way of the future.

“If we look at what transport’s going to be, air transport is certainly something that is going to be the key market.

“And talking about St Columban’s as a pathway school, we certainly do offer those pathways, through aviation, through many, many jobs: pilot, ground crew, root planners, trimmers, technicians, and the jobs go on and on and on.”
